How to Search the Tulsa County Inmate Roster
The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office runs the official inmate roster. The old Inmate Information Center now redirects to a community portal. The roster page is titled for the Sheriff's Office and carries the badge that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. It is free and open to the public.
The roster groups people into three tabs. Recent covers bookings in the last 48 hours. All shows current inmates. Recent Releases lists people let out in the last 48 hours. A search runs the same way across all three.
The Tulsa County Sheriff inmate roster loads recent bookings and current inmates in one view.
From the roster, you can open a person's record to read the charges and bail.
- Open the Tulsa County Sheriff inmate roster.
- Pick a tab: Recent, All, or Recent Releases.
- Type a first name, last name, or booking number.
- Click Search, then sort by name, age, or booking date if needed.
- Open a record to view charges, agency, docket, and bail amount.
Tulsa County Jail Roster Search Fields
The roster uses a short set of search fields. None is required, so you can search by a single name. The booking number follows a set format. The list shows 20 records per page and can be sorted by several columns.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes / Format |
|---|---|---|---|
| Show Bookings | Button group | No | Recent, All, or Recent Releases. |
| First Name | Text | No | Up to 50 characters. |
| Last Name | Text | No | Up to 50 characters. |
| Booking No. | Text | No | Example format B-0526-08674. |
| Search / Refresh | Button | n/a | Loads matches; Refresh pulls the latest bookings. |
| Sort headers | Column | n/a | Name, G/R, D.O.B., Age, Booking Date, Booking No. |
If a brand-new booking is missing, click Refresh, since the roster updates often through the day.
The result list shows a row for each person. Columns hold a photo thumbnail, the name, gender and race, date of birth, age, booking date, and booking number. Click a column header to sort the list up or down. A common name can return many rows, so the booking number is the surest way to land on the exact person you want.
What a Tulsa County Inmate Profile Shows
Open a record and a profile dialog appears. It carries identity data, the booking timeline, and a charges table. Each charge ties to a statute, the arresting agency, and a bail amount. The docket number links the booking to a court case on OSCN.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Name | Given, middle, and surname. |
| G/R and D.O.B. | Gender and race, plus date of birth. |
| Booking No. / Date | The jail booking ID and when it was entered. |
| Release Date | Shown when the person has been released. |
| Charges | Statute, charge, agency, report, warrant, and docket number. |
| Bail Amount | The bond set for each charge, if any. |
| Photo | A mugshot thumbnail when one is on file. |
Sensitive details should be treated with care, and a booking should never be read as a conviction.

The Booking Process at David L. Moss
A person arrested in Tulsa County on a misdemeanor or felony is booked at David L. Moss. The arrestee enters through Booking. Intake officers review the arrest report, verify the information, and enter it into the records system. The person is brought into the sally port reception area and searched for weapons, drugs, and contraband.
A booking nurse screens for serious injuries or conditions. The person is then told the charges, photographed, fingerprinted, and given an ID card. The inmate gets phone calls to arrange bond or notify family. Staff interview the person to assign housing. Someone who cannot post bond is issued a jail uniform and moved to a housing unit.
This is when a booking record first appears on the roster. The photo taken at this step becomes the mugshot thumbnail. The booking number assigned here follows the person through the case. Because the record posts soon after intake, a family member checking the roster may see a booking before they get a phone call.
Bond and Jail Phone Numbers

Visitation at the Tulsa County Jail
There are two ways to visit. Video visitation runs through JailATM.com using the TechFriends system, so anyone with internet access can schedule a video visit. On-site visits are non-contact and limited to immediate documented relatives. Visitors must apply through the online visitor request system or a printable form and review the rules first.
| Visit Type | When | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Video visitation | Scheduled online | Through JailATM.com / TechFriends. |
| On-site, Friday | 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. | Non-contact; documented relatives only. |
| On-site, Saturday | 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. | Non-contact; documented relatives only. |
| General info | 918-596-8900 | Tulsa County jail. |
Plan a visit around these windows and the application step. The video option is the most flexible, since family living anywhere in the country can join from a computer or phone. On-site visits stay non-contact, which means you talk through a barrier rather than in the same room. Read the current rules before you schedule, because a missed requirement can cancel a visit.
Mail, Money, and Property
Mail goes to the inmate's full name and DLM number, in care of David L. Moss, 300 North Denver Ave., Tulsa, OK 74103. The jail accepts letters, postcards, compliant greeting cards, small photos up to 5x7, newspapers direct from the publisher, and books from Amazon Fulfillment or Barnes & Noble only. It bans padded mailers, cash, checks, money orders inside mail, stamps, and many other items.
The mail rules are strict for a reason. Banned items include padded mailers, currency, checks, money orders inside mail, stamps, stickers, stationery, plastic or laminated items, food, and many writing materials such as crayon, marker, and white-out. Sexually explicit material, gang material, and instructions for escape, violence, or contraband are also turned away. A photo cannot be a Polaroid or show nudity or hand signs. Greeting cards must be plain, with no ribbons, sound chips, or thick layers.
Money goes to an inmate trust account. You can use the front-lobby kiosks, JailATM.com, CSGpay.com, or a mailed money order or cashier's check. Kiosks accept cash and credit cards for a small fee. Do not mail cash or personal checks. A money order must include the inmate name, the DLM number, and a return address, or the jail will return it. Property pickups must be scheduled with the property clerk, whose room is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Medical Services at the Jail
Medical care at David L. Moss is provided by Turnkey Medical Inc. The jail lists a medical information helpline at 1-800-246-0881. Family members with a medical concern about an inmate can start there. The jail also describes medical and mental health services as part of the facility, in line with the sheriff's account of the building.
Note: The jail screens new inmates for injuries at booking, and serious cases are sent for care and cleared before the person is admitted.
Custody Notifications Through VINELink
You do not have to keep checking the roster by hand. VINELink sends custody-status notifications by phone, email, or text. The Tulsa inmate profile includes a link to register for VINELink notifications when the feature is enabled. A registrant is not an official agency contact, but the alerts are useful.
The VINELink notification system lets you register to get an alert when custody status changes. The service has run in Oklahoma for years and can reach you by phone, email, or text. For recent releases, see the released inmates page.
County Jail vs State Prison vs Federal Custody
The county roster is not the only custody system. State prison and federal custody use their own locators. Knowing which one to search saves time when a person is not on the county roster.
| System | Holds | Where to Search |
|---|---|---|
| Tulsa County Jail | Pretrial and short county sentences | Sheriff inmate roster |
| Oklahoma DOC | State prison sentences | State offender locator |
| Federal BOP | Federal sentences | BOP inmate locator |
A person can move between these systems over time. Someone booked into the county jail may later be sentenced to state prison, where the Oklahoma Department of Corrections takes custody. A federal case sends a person into the Bureau of Prisons system instead. If a name drops off the county roster, the next place to check depends on where the case is headed. The jail population page covers capacity and roster counts in more depth.
